Powder Brows

Powder eyebrows is a semi-permanent makeup treatment. The pigment is inserted using a dotting technique, giving a three-dimensional, natural look to the eyebrows. Holly performs this treatment with a machine.

The Powder brow effect is easily recognised by the colour graduation that starts at the beginning of the brow arch in the centre of the forehead, and gets gradually darker towards the tail. This creates an illusion of fading. From Holly’s experience, this particular style is often chosen by people who pencil in their eyebrows, as opposed to those who normally use different types of regular makeup for eyebrows.

Microblading

This technique is a form of semi-permanent makeup and it is performed with a microblading tool.

The pigment is inserted into the skin via small, very shallow scratches, the pigment is then rubbed into the skin leaving what looks like a natural hair effect. Holly recommends this to clients with:

  • No hair
  • Mature skin
  • Full hair brow that just needs definition

Microblading + Shading

This technique is a form of semi-permanent makeup and performed with a microblading tool and a manual shading tool.

This is a two step process. First the pigment is inserted into the skin via small, very shallow scratches, the pigment is then rubbed into the skin leaving what looks like a natural hair effect. The second step is to then add the shading with another tool, this is a very light tapping motion which leaves very fine dots into the skin creating a ‘misty’ powder effect between the microblading strokes. Overall this creates a 3D illusion and adds more depth to the brow. Holly advises this is suitable for clients with:

  • Bald Patches
  • Scars
  • Old PMU (tattoo)
  • No hair
  • That want a natural effect and fuller appearance

Lip Blush

Lip blushing is a form of semi-permanent makeup. Essentially, it is a cosmetic tattoo of the lips that enhances the beauty of the natural lip color, improving the shape of the lips, giving definition and the illusion of fullness. This treatment delivers very natural results, once healed. Filler is great for creating volume in your lips, but lip blush delivers a more natural look and gives the illusion of fuller lips.
